Final lot of Dwarka Expressway oustees to get plots on August 16

14 Aug 2016

plotGurgaon: Huda will be conducting the draw of lots on August 16, alloting alternative plots to the oustees of the Dwarka Expressway project who were left out in the last draw in July. The allotment will get rid of the last hurdle to complete the National Peripheral Road (NPR), the construction of which has been stalled in patches due to the houses that fall in the alignment.

Huda officials stated that within the first draw of lots, which carried out on July 31, those oustees who had registered their homes at the time of the land acquisition for the project in 2008 had been given alternative plots. The remaining oustees protested against Huda, alleging that the draw was conducted in violation of the direction of the high court. Following this, Huda sought guidelines from the nation attorney general over eligibility of people without registry.

"We had sought a legal opinion and we're going to conduct another draw for dispensing for allotting alternate plots to oustees on August 16," said Huda administrator Yashpal Yadav. The second lot is likely to allot plots to the remaining 450 oustees, most of which come from New Palam Vihar.

The development of 18km-long 8-lane Dwarka Expressway began in 2011 and till now Huda has managed to finish the construction of 14.33 km-long stretch of the road. More than 560 homes at New Palam Vihar, Tekchand Nagar and Kherki Daula had held up with the finishing touch of remaining portion of the road.

Completion of the NPR, also known as the Dwarka expressway, is also expected to boost real estate industry in Gurgaon, as in last 8 years more than a 110 developers have released greater than 150 projects offerings more than 97,000 units is being developed along expressway.

The declaration has also added a smile on the faces of those who've been looking ahead to some words on their fate over displacement from sectors 110A, 111, 112, 113, 114, 110, 109, 106, 105 108, 107, 103, 104, 102, 102A,101, 100, 99, 99A, 37, 84, 83, 81, wgere they have bought flats. Most of these sectors are developed along Dwarka Expressway.

"The completion of Dwarka expressway and CPR, for which Huda is going to start land acquisition will resolve the connectivity of people of new Gurgaon. It will also reduce traffic load in NH-8 and in many parts of Gurgaon," said Prachi Jadhav, one of the resident of sector 84.

Huda's move to push stalled infrastructure project was also welcomed by realtors. "This news is pleasant for all of the real estate developers. Now, the improvement on the NPR area will kick-start and develop at a quicker rate. This in turn might benefit the real estate sector and boost the business.
