Marketing manager of Delhi-based Horizon Buildcon booked for transferring Rs 6 crore homebuyer cash in personal account

19 Aug 2016

NOIDA: A marketing manager of a development organization has been booked for transferring  Rs 6 crore gathered from numerous home buyers into his own account through forged documents. It is believed that he tricked more than 100 buyers and is on the run from that point onward. A case was registered on Wednesday against the accused Suninder Sandha based on the complaint by Ambika Sharma, director of Delhi-based Horizon Buildcon Pvt Ltd. Sharma said the organization was building up a project in Sector 86 where about 780 flats were being developed inside the society. The organization had launched the project and employed a few marketing executives and directors including Sandha in 2012. The organization additionally opened an office in Sector 2 in Noida where buyers could book flats. Sharma said Sandha was dealing with the financial dealings with customers and home buyers. On July 2, a retired Air Force officer visited the organization office in Noida. He said he needed to drop his booking and requested that the firm give back his cash. The organization authorities checked the records and observed that Rs 12.81 lakh was paid by the officer. But, the officer informed them that he had really paid Rs 16.41 lakh to the organization. After investigations, the organization found that Sandha had opened another account of the organization and were making numerous transactions over the last four years. Sharma said Sandha had managed to open a bank account without the company's knowledge and booked for  transferring Rs 6 crore homebuyer cash in personal account. Amarnath Yadav, SHO, Sector 20 police headquarters, stated primary investigation confirmed that the accused had floated his own real estate firm and invested the money. " We are investigating the case. His arrest will help us connect the dots on how many people have been cheated in the fraud," he said. By Sanjay Bansal | Founder & CEO | Affordable Homes India
